Our products are

• treated with low-impact fiber reactive dye
• printed with water-based ink in Kalamazoo

Noted as the most pesticide-dependent crop, cotton accounts for 25% of all pesticide usage. Organic cotton is grown without synthetic fertilizers, harsh chemicals, and pesticides. Our organic products are treated with low impact fiber reactive dye, approved by the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS). Knitted with 30/1 Ring- Spun Combed Jersey, these shirts are incredibly soft and comfy.

 Grassroots Goods is based in Kalamazoo, Michigan. All proceeds from our sales benefit Kalamazoo Collective Housing. The organization provides nonprofit, sustainable (“green”) housing; empowers people to create democratic cooperatives; and strengthens our community through shared resources and education.

To us, transparency is a good business practice. So, we're happy to provide details about our production process. It's rare that you'll find this information with other apparel companies.

Our manufacturer gets as much organic cotton yarn from the United States as possible. When those supplies are limited, organic cotton is bought from Pakistan and Turkey.
